Every 5,000 km (3,000 miles) or every three months, the hinges and assemblies of the door, hood and trunk lid latches should be lubricated with a few drops of liquid oil or a special lock lubricant. The strikers of the locks should be lubricated with thick grease to reduce their wear rate and ensure trouble-free operation.
