Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!

2. Lower the door glass to its lowest position.

3. Remove the interior trim panel and door insulation screen.

4. Using the edge of a piece of fabric, carefully separate the tape molding from the door frame.

5. Remove the internal glass stabilizers.

6. On the front doors, remove the guide slide.

7. Support the lower edge of the glass, then unscrew the two bolts securing the glass to the window regulator - the unsupported glass may fall inside the door frame.

8. Carefully remove the glass from the door frame through the window opening.

9. Unscrew the regulator mounting bolts.

10. If equipped, disconnect the electrical wiring from the window lift motor.

11. Remove the regulator through the special access window in the door frame.

Installation

1. Before installation, the moving parts of the regulator should be lightly lubricated with universal grease.

2. Install the regulator in its regular place and tighten the mounting bolts by hand.

3. Starting with the lower left bolt and moving clockwise, perform the final tightening of the regulator fasteners.

4. If equipped, connect the electrical wiring to the drive motor.

5. Insert the window glass into the door frame and secure it to the regulator.

Note: On Hatchback models, tighten the rear window support first, on Sedan models, tighten the front window support first.

6. Slowly closing the window, check the correct position of the glass in the door frame opening. If necessary, remove the regulator and slightly work out the holes provided in it for the glass fastening bolts - first make sure that the glass skew is not associated with deformation of the regulator elements.

7. Reinstall any other door frame components that were removed to provide access.

8. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
