Car clutch repair Mitsubishi Galant 6 and 7
This chapter is about the transmission components located between the rear of the engine and the front (all models) and rear (AWD models) wheels of the vehicle (without gearbox and transfer case, which are covered in chapter Manual gearbox). According to their purpose, the components under consideration can be divided into three categories: clutch, propeller shaft and half shafts/drive shafts. The following Sections describe the design and operation of each of the individual components, as well as the procedures for checking the condition, removal, disassembly and refurbishment of all three groups of components.
Since most of the procedures described in this Chapter are performed under the car, special attention should be paid to the reliability of fixing the latter in a raised position.
