Removing
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
2. Remove the components located in an impellent compartment and blocking access to assembly of the main cylinder of coupling.
3. Get a suitable container under the car and prepare rags to collect fluid spilled when disconnecting the hydraulic lines.
4. Release the nipple connector of the hydraulic line connected to the cylinder and drain the liquid from it into the prepared container.
Fluid drained from the tract cannot be reused and must be disposed of in accordance with local environmental laws. Remember also that hydraulic fluid is an aggressive chemical compound and can damage the paintwork if it comes into contact with painted body surfaces!
5. Disconnect the split pin securing the cylinder pusher to the clutch pedal. Remove the washer and disconnect the pusher.
6. Give the sensor switch mounting nuts and remove the cylinder assembly from the rear bulkhead of the engine compartment.
Note. A gasket to be replaced is installed between the cylinder seat flange and the mating surface of the bulkhead.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Do not forget to lubricate all contact and support nodes.
2. Having finished the assembly, "pump" hydraulic path, completely removing air plugs from it (see Section Removal of air from the hydraulic path of the clutch release drive).
