Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
If your car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Remove the components located in the engine compartment and blocking access to the clutch slave cylinder assembly.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic line from the cylinder assembly and drain the working fluid into the prepared container.
The fluid drained from the system cannot be reused and must be disposed of in accordance with local environmental protection laws. Remember also that hydraulic fluid is an aggressive chemical compound and can damage paintwork if it gets on painted body surfaces!
4. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the slave cylinder assembly from the gearbox housing (if necessary, remove the cotter pin and disconnect the split pushrod pin from the lever).
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Do not forget to lubricate all contact and support units.
2. After completing the assembly, "bleed" the hydraulic circuit, completely removing air locks from it (see Section Bleeding air from the hydraulic circuit of the clutch release drive).
