1. Remove the floor mats and carpets - the height of the clutch pedal position (A) is the distance from the central part of its shoe to the surface of the sound-insulating layer.
2. Measure the distance from the floor to the outer surface of the pad with the pedal fully released. Compare the measurement result with the requirements of the Specifications (168÷171 mm: Mirage models and 176÷182 mm: Galant models).
3. Measure the amount of play in the split pin relative to the pedal shoe (the nominal value is 1÷3 mm).
4. If the measurement results are outside the permissible values, make appropriate adjustments (see below).
5. Turn the adjusting bolt until the pedal height is normal, then tighten the lock nut securely.
6. On models equipped with a speed control system, disconnect the electrical wiring from the clutch switch sensor and, by rotating the switch, adjust the pedal height accordingly.
7. Rotate the pusher to normalize the amount of play in the split pin - finally, do not forget to tighten the lock nut.
8. Make sure that the starter circuit breaker switch operates properly when the clutch pedal is fully depressed.
