Removal
Remove the inner door trim.
Lower the glass down until the window mounting bolts appear in the door cutout.
COLT/LANCER release before 8.88

Hook the window seal onto the fastening clips from the inside and remove it from the flange.
Remove the lowered glass from the window lifting mechanism by loosening 2 screws.
Tilt the glass forward and pull it out of the window shaft.

Remove the window regulator mounting bolts from the door. If the window regulator is electric, additionally disconnect the electrical wires. Pull the window regulator out through the lower door cutout.

Caution: If the motor needs to be removed from the electric window lifter, first release the springs from the window lifter, otherwise the lifting arm will press upward.
COLT/LANCER release since 9.88

Remove the screws that secure the door window. Hold the glass so that it does not fall.

Tilt the glass forward and pull it out of the window shaft.

Loosen the window regulator mounting bolts, then pull the window regulator out through the cutout in the door.
Installation

COLT/LANCER manufactured before 8.88: When installing a new glass, remove the glass holder from the old glass and install it on the new glass using a rubber hammer. Keep the installation size.

Lubricate the window regulator with universal grease in the places marked with arrows.
The picture shows the latest model window regulator.
Attention: On COLT/LANCER vehicles manufactured before 8.88, do not apply universal grease to the window lift springs.
Insert the window lifter into the door and secure it in the order of the numbers indicated, see figure.

Insert the glass into the door and secure the window lifter with 2 bolts. For COLT/ LANCER manufactured from 9.88 onwards, observe the bolt tightening sequence, see figure.
If equipped with a power window, connect the cable connector.
Adjusting the glass of the door window

COLT/LANCER up to 8.88: Raise the window glass and move the window regulator bolts in their holes to a position so that the distance between the glass and the door frame is the same throughout. Secure the window regulator in this position.
Note: On COLT/LANCER models from 9.88 onwards, adjustment is not possible and is usually not required. If the window closes unevenly, remove the window lifter and enlarge the mounting holes in the door accordingly. Install the window lifter and move it in the holes.
If removed, place the window seal with clamps on the door and press.
Install the door trim.
