From the door lock, 3 rods extend to the inner and outer door handles, as well as to the central locking device button.
Removal
Remove the door window glass.
Central locking device. Disconnect the actuator motor connector and remove the actuator motor.
LANCER produced since 9.88: Remove the internal button of the locking device from the rod.

Loosen the 2 inner rod mounting bolts and disconnect the connecting rod.

Disconnect the connecting rod with the lock from the outer handle. To do this, break the retaining ring with a screwdriver. A new ring must be installed during installation. Pull the outer door handle out.
Disconnect the connecting rod from the lock cylinder.

Remove 3 screws on the back of the door and pull out the door lock.

To remove the lock cylinder, use pliers to pull the bracket in the door to the side and remove the cylinder.
Installation
Lubricate the sliding surfaces and hinges of the door lock, as well as the door handles and the lock cylinder with a universal lubricant.
Insert the lock cylinder and insert the retaining bracket from the side.
Insert and secure the door lock. Connect the rods to the outside handle and to the lock cylinder.

Insert the outer door handle and insert the rod with a new retaining ring.

Insert the inner handle. The handle should move B = 4-10 mm without noticeable resistance. Tighten the screws in this position.

Central locking device. Install the internal locking button and the door locking device actuator with the lever in the "Closed" position. Put the connector on the actuator motor.
Install window glass and door trim.
