Locking the doors
To lock all doors, press the LOCK button (1). If the interior lamp switch is in position when locking, (-), this lamp, as well as the direction indicators, will flash once.
Unlocking doors
To unlock all doors, press the UNLOCK button (0). If the interior light switch is in position when the doors are unlocked (-), this lamp will come on for about 13 seconds and the direction indicators will flash twice.
Note:
- Each time you press any of the buttons, the control LED lights up (3).
- If within about 34 seconds after pressing the UNLOCK button (0) If none of the doors is opened, the door locks will automatically lock.
The operation of the door lock remote control system can be changed as follows.

- You can change the time interval between pressing the UNLOCK button (0) and automatic door locks.
- You can set confirmation (flashing turn signals) only at the moment of locking or only at the moment of unlocking the doors.
- You can turn off the confirmation function (blinking direction indicators when locking and unlocking the doors).
- You can change the number of flashes of the direction indicators when confirming the unlock/lock of the doors.
The remote door lock system does not work if the key is in the ignition or one of the doors is open.
The remote control has a range of approximately 4 m from the vehicle. However, near a TV tower, power plant, or radio station, the range of the remote control may vary.
If the remote control is at a normal distance from the vehicle, but the vehicle doors do not lock or unlock, or the control LED (3) lights up weakly or does not light up at all, this may indicate that the battery is exhausted and needs to be replaced.
If the remote control is lost or damaged, contact an authorized MITSUBISHI MOTORS service center to order a replacement.
If you need an additional remote control, we recommend that you contact an authorized MITSUBISHI MOTORS service center.
Up to 4 remote controls can be made for one car.
Unlocking and locking the doors with the key
To unlock/lock the doors from the outside, insert the key into the door lock and turn it as shown in the figure.
Unlocking and locking the doors from inside the car
To lock the door from the inside, press the button above the opening handle.
To open the door, return the button to its original position and pull the handle towards you.
Note. The driver's door can be opened by pulling the inside door handle without using the lock button. This unlocks all other doors.
doors (except parent) can also be locked from the outside without using a key.
To do this, press the internal button and close the door.
