The lock is located on the steering column on the right side and has four positions:
- LOCK position - the engine is not running, the steering wheel is locked. Only in this position can the ignition key be removed and inserted;
- ACC position - the engine is not running, but you can turn on additional consumers (radio, use the cigarette lighter and other electrical appliances);
- ON position - the ignition is on, the engine is running, you can use all the electrical appliances of the car.
- position START - inclusion of a starter. After starting the engine, release the key and it will automatically return to the ON position.
Note. If the car is equipped with an ignition lock light, it will turn on when the driver's door is opened and remain on for 30 seconds after it is closed.
If the car is equipped with a door lock remote control system, then when the key is removed from the ignition, the backlight turns on for about 30 seconds and turns off, even if it was turned on earlier, at the moment the key is turned to the ON position.
If the vehicle is equipped with a daytime running light system, turning the key to the ON position turns on the dipped beam headlights and other lights.
The ring antenna of the immobilizer control unit is located in the ignition lock housing.
Removing the key from the ignition
Turn the key to the ACC position, press it in and turn it to the LOCK position. Then remove the key.
Steering wheel lock
Removing the key from the ignition in the LOCK position and turning the steering wheel will lock it.
To unlock the steering wheel, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to pogyhenna ACC while turning the steering wheel slightly from side to side.
Attention. It is forbidden to remove the key from the ignition lock while the car is moving, because. the steering wheel will then lock, and the vehicle will become uncontrollable.
