Interior rear view mirror installation details

Removal
1. The installation details of the interior rearview mirror are shown in the illustration.
2. Loosen the bracket rod set screw and remove the mirror from the base support glued to the windshield.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
2. When peeling off the base support from the glass, carefully clean the corresponding area of the latter, using a razor blade to remove all traces of the old adhesive, and wipe the cleaned surface with solvent.
3. Proceeding in a similar manner, clean the contact surface of the support.
4. Prepare a special adhesive composition - ask in car accessory stores - and apply it to the supporting surface of the glass.
5. After waiting for the composition to harden, lubricate the contact surface of the support with it and lubricate the glass again.
6. Press the support against the glass and hold it pressed until the composition hardens - try not to allow it to skew.
7. The adhesive composition will completely harden after 24 hours - do not install the mirror on the support earlier.
