To clean the air in the car's interior, an air purifier is built into the heating or air conditioning system, which operates when the fan is turned on.

Note: This air purifier system contains a filter. Dust and dirt that settles on the filter will reduce the effectiveness of the purifier. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the filter every 12 months or every 15,000 km. For more information, contact your authorized MITSUBISHI dealer.

Instructions for using the air conditioner

Leave your car in the shade for long periods of time. If you leave your car in the sun, it will heat up a lot and it will take longer to cool down the interior. If you do have to leave your car in the sun, open the windows for the first few minutes of the air conditioner operation, which will speed up the removal of hot air from the interior.

When the air conditioner is running, the windows must be closed. The flow of outside air through open windows reduces the efficiency of the air conditioner.

Too much cooling of the air is harmful to health. The air temperature in the cabin should be only 5-6°C lower than the outside air temperature.

When operating the system, make sure that the air intake openings located in front of the windshield are free of foreign objects, such as leaves. Leaves clogged in the air duct prevent normal air flow and block the water drainage openings.

Recommendations for the care of the air conditioning system (refrigerant and oil)

If the air conditioner's performance has decreased compared to the standard, it may be due to a refrigerant leak. Have the air conditioner checked by your authorized MITSUBISHI dealer. The air conditioner installed in the vehicle must be filled with HFC-134a refrigerant and SUN-PAG56 air conditioner oil. Using another refrigerant or another oil will cause serious damage, which will require replacing the entire air conditioning system. Do not release refrigerant into the atmosphere. The new HFC-134a refrigerant used in the vehicle does not harm the ozone layer.

It is recommended to recover the refrigerant for further reuse.

In case of a long break in using the air conditioner

The air conditioner should be turned on for at least 5 minutes every week, even in cold weather. This ensures lubrication of the internal parts of the compressor and maintains the air conditioning system in good technical condition. If these requirements are not met, the system may emit an unusual odor. This is not a sign of a malfunction of the system.
