Removal
Remove the ceiling trim.
Remove the front side trim.
The parts are removed in the order shown in the figure.
Installation
Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
When installing the parts, pay attention to the installation of the drain hose.
Install the rubber grommet and allow the drain hose to protrude as shown in the figure.
After completing the installation of the parts, adjust the hatch and check the tightness of the hatch.
Initialize the sunroof electronic control unit.
Install the front side trim.
Install the ceiling trim.
Checking the sunroof electric switch
Check the condition of the circuit between the connector terminals at different switch positions.
Check that the circuit is closed only between terminals "4"–"5" when the switch is in the "OPEN" position (resistance less than 2 ohms).
Check that the circuit is open at terminals "3"–"4", "3"–"5", "3"–"6", "4"–"5", "4"–"6", and "5"–"6" when the switch is in the "OFF" position.
Check that the circuit is closed only between terminals "3"–"4" when the switch is in the "UP" position (resistance less than 2 ohms).
Check that the circuit is closed only between terminals "4"–"6" when the switch is in the "CLOSE/DOWN" position (resistance less than 2 ohms).
