Adjusting the front headlights (Mitsubishi L200 4)

Before adjustment, the following conditions must be met.
  • If the fuel tank is not filled, load the rear of the vehicle to 90% of the fuel tank (load at the rate of 1 l = 0.8 kg).
  • There must not be any loads (cargo, passengers, etc.) in the vehicle except the driver or a load corresponding to a weight of 75 kg in the driver's seat.
  • The headlight level control must be in the "0" position.
  • The headlight lenses must be cleaned of dirt.
  • Place the vehicle at a distance of 3 m from a flat perpendicular surface.
  • Start the engine and let the battery charge.
  • On the plane surface, mark the center of the headlight lenses with a horizontal line at a height of 892 mm (Single cab) or 887 mm (Club cab or Double cab) from the floor level.



When adjusting, it is necessary to achieve the following parameters.


  • Vertical adjustment: The distance (L) between the horizontal line (H) and the horizontal border of the light should be 36 mm.
  • Vertical adjustment: The angle between the horizontal line (H) and the edge of the light on the right side of the line (V) should be 15°.
