The rear window defogger can be turned on when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position. Press the defogger switch and it will turn on. The defogger will turn off automatically after 20 minutes.
To switch it off earlier, press the switch again. The indicator lamp A will remain lit while the heater is on. If your vehicle is equipped with heated outside rearview mirrors, pressing the rear window defroster switch will also defog the outside rearview mirrors.
Attention! The power of the rear window heater is only enough to remove frost (fogging), but not enough to melt snow stuck to the glass. Before turning on the heater, remove snow from the rear window.
To avoid draining the battery, do not use the rear window defroster while starting the engine or when the engine is off. Turn off the defroster as soon as the glass is clean.
