When the rear window heating is turned on, after some time the field of visible conductive paths on the glass should be free of fogging or ice.
If there is a malfunction, first check the fuse in the fuse box.
If the fuse is OK, check the connector near the rear window, and clean the connector from corrosion if necessary.
If the rear window heater still does not work, check the switch and wiring.
Check the operation of the on-off relay, see item 23.3.
If the heating element breaks, commercially available silver conductive paint helps to restore the connection.
