If the brake light does not light, first of all check the fuse in the fuse box.
If the fuse is OK, check and replace the brake light bulb if necessary.
If the brake light bulbs are OK, check the brake light switch. It is located on the bracket above the brake pedal. When you press the pedal, a push pin comes out of the switch. The switch contact closes and the brake light comes on.
Check the brake light switch. To do this, remove the 2 cable connectors from the brake light switch. Turn on the ignition.
Short-circuit both connector contacts with a jumper. If the brake light comes on, the brake light switch is faulty.
Replace the brake light switch.
