1. Slowly pull the parking brake control up to the end of its travel and count the number of ratchet clicks. Compare the calculation result with the requirements of the Specifications. Make appropriate adjustments if necessary (see chapter Brake system).
2. Alternatively, the assessment of the proper functioning of the parking brake can be made by parking the car on a section of road going downhill and fixing it with a stationary parking brake with the transmission in neutral. If the brake does not hold the vehicle when the lever is cocked to the required number of clicks, an adjustment must be made.
