The brake system compensation tank is located in the engine compartment. It is two-section, each section serves a separate brake circuit.

The expansion tank is transparent, so the fluid level can always be checked. It is recommended to take a look at the expansion tank once every 4 weeks.

  • When the lid is closed, the brake fluid level in the reservoir should not exceed the "MAX" mark. When the level drops below the "A" mark, the control lamp lights up on the instrument panel. 1 - brake fluid level sensor connector, 4 - master brake cylinder.
  • Add only new brake fluid meeting SAE J 1703, DOT 3 or DOT 4 specification.
  • Due to wear of brake pads the brake fluid level decreases. This is normal.
  • A significant drop in brake fluid level over a short period of time is caused by fluid leakage.
  • The leak location must be immediately localized and eliminated. As a rule, the cause of the leak is worn cuffs of the wheel brake cylinders. It is safer to conduct a complete check of the brake system at a service station.
