The compensation tank of the brake system is located in the engine compartment. It is two-section, each section serves a separate brake circuit.
It is recommended to check the brake fluid level in the reservoir every 4 weeks. With the cap closed, the brake fluid level in the reservoir must not exceed the MAX mark. When the level drops below the mark (A) the control lamp lights up on the instrument panel.
Use only new SAE J 1703, DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.
A decrease in the brake fluid level due to brake pad wear is normal, but a significant decrease in the brake fluid level in a short time is due to fluid leakage.
The leak should be located as soon as possible and repaired. Usually the cause of the leak is worn cuffs of the wheel brake cylinders.
