Place the car on a level surface.
With the engine running at idle speed, apply the handbrake. Sequentially shift the gearshift lever from P to L and move the lever to the N position.
Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.

Insert the dipstick all the way and pull it out again.
The oil level should reach the HOT mark. Otherwise, add oil to the automatic transmission.
Pour oil into the gearbox through a specially designed funnel with a mesh through the hole for the oil dipstick. When the level is low, the oil pump pumps air into the system, which can lead to malfunctions of the gearbox.
If the level is high, the gearbox will overheat and the oil will be squeezed out through the ventilation valve. Excess oil must be sucked out. Black oil in an automatic transmission with a burnt smell should be replaced.
Insert the dipstick completely.
