Lever type
Pull the parking brake lever with a force of approximately 200 N and count the number of clicks.
Default value: 4-5 clicks.
Pedal type
If the parking brake lever travel is not within the recommended range, adjust it using the procedure below.
Remove the floor console.
Loosen the adjusting nut, releasing the cable.
Depress the parking brake pedal with a force of approximately 200 N.
Recommended value: 1-2 clicks.
If the parking brake pedal travel is not within the recommended range, adjust it using the procedure below.
Remove the plugs from the adjustment holes on the rear brakes. Insert a slotted screwdriver and turn it in the direction of the arrow to push the brake pads apart until the brake disc is firmly fixed. Loosen the brake adjusting nut five notches back.
Adjust the parking brake according to the recommended value by turning the adjusting nut. After completing the adjustment, check that there is no free play between the lever and the adjusting nut.
Attention! If the parking brake lever travel is less than the recommended amount, the brake pads may «grab» disk.
After completing the parking brake travel adjustment, raise the rear of the vehicle and rotate the rear wheels to ensure there is no contact between the brake disc and pad.
Loosen the adjusting nut by turning it all the way to the end of the cable shaft, allowing the cable to move freely.
Remove the plugs from the adjustment holes on the rear brakes. Insert a slotted screwdriver and turn it in the direction of the arrow to push the brake pads apart until the brake disc is firmly fixed. Loosen the brake adjusting nut five notches back.
