2. If the lever stroke is not correct, adjust it as follows:
- loosen the adjusting nut at the end of the drive cable rod, thereby loosening the parking brake cable (pic. 14.30);
- with the engine running, firmly press the brake pedal 5-6 times and check the length of the pedal stroke;

Attention! If the brake pedal stroke is constant, the automatic adjustment functions and the distance between the brake shoe and the drum is adjusted correctly.
- by turning the adjusting nut, adjust the stroke length of the parking brake system drive lever to the required value;
- during adjustment, make sure that there is no gap between the nut and the pin, and that the nut is fixed in the adjusted position.
Attention! If the number of clicks is below the allowable value, then the cable is overstretched. Make adjustments based on this.
- after adjusting the stroke of the lever of the parking brake system, raise the car;
- release the parking brake lever and spin the rear wheels to make sure the rear brakes are not being braked.
