The rear axle of the L200 series vehicles is an example of a dependent suspension with a solid axle body suspended on elliptical springs.

The main transmission is of the hypoid type, with or without differential lock.

The tables below provide more detailed specifications for the rear wheel suspension and drive.

Lubrication



The service properties of the oil for the rear axle differential are as follows: oil for hypoid gears of the GL5 group or higher according to the API classification.

Viscosity:
- at temperatures above 10°C: SAE 90;
- at temperatures below 10°C: SAE 80W
The amount of oil in the rear axle main gear housing: 2.6 p.

Front Axle Transmission Oil Level (4WD)



The transmission oil level should not be lower than 8 mm from the lower edge of the filler hole (as shown in Fig. M2 5.046). The tightening torque of the filler plug is 50±10 Nm.
