CAUTION: When working inside a vehicle equipped with an airbag and seat belt pretensioner system (SRS), be especially careful not to damage the SRS control unit. To avoid accidental deployment of the airbags or seat belt pretensioners, before starting work, set the wheels to the straight-ahead position and the ignition switch to the "LOCK" position, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 90 seconds (the discharge time of the reserve power). Do not attempt to disassemble the airbag unit or seat belt pretensioner unit, since these units do not contain serviceable parts. If the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners have deployed (deployed), they cannot be repaired and reused.
