Note: The anti-theft system is designed to protect against unauthorized entry into the vehicle.

1. Activating the security mode.

Please note: the engine cannot be started if the security mode is activated.

  • a) Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
  • b) Check that the hood or trunk lid is closed.
  • c) Check that the headlight and turn signal switch or windshield wiper and washer switch are in the "OFF" position.
  • d) Close all side doors and lock the doors using the transmitter key.
  • d) If the activation of the security mode was successful, the direction indicators will flash twice and a sound signal will sound.
  • e) The engine immobilizer indicator will light up on the instrument panel.

After 20 seconds, the indicator will start flashing, indicating that the security mode is activated.

Please note: the security mode will not be activated if at least one of the doors is open or not tightly closed when the central lock is activated.

Note: After activating the security mode, the trunk can be opened with the key without triggering the alarm mode. After closing the trunk lid, the security mode will be activated again.

2. Alarm mode (alarm signal).

  • a) When the alarm mode is triggered, the anti-theft alarm siren is activated and the direction indicators flash. The alarm sounds for 3 minutes, then automatically turns off.
  • b) When the security mode is activated, the alarm mode is triggered in the following cases: one of the doors is opened without using the key transmitter, or the hood is opened (from the passenger compartment or from the outside).
  • c) To force the alarm mode to be turned off, unlock the side door locks using the key fob transmitter.

3. Deactivating the security mode.

a) The security mode will be deactivated only if the doors are unlocked using the key transmitter. The direction indicators will flash once to indicate that the security mode is deactivated.

Please note: the external security mode can only be deactivated using the key transmitter.

b) If the key transmitter does not work (for example, the battery is dead), then to forcibly deactivate the security mode, open the driver's door with the key (the alarm mode will be activated), insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the "ON" position.
