This section contains only those operations that can be performed by the owner of the car. In the event of a malfunction or other problems, contact an authorized Mitsubishi dealer for their elimination. Follow the instructions and warnings in the manual for each of the operations described below.
Attention! Before carrying out inspection or maintenance operations in the engine compartment, make sure that the engine is turned off and cool.
Attention! If it is necessary to carry out work in the engine compartment with the engine running, take extra care. Do not work near moving machinery (fan, drive belts, etc.) in long-sleeved clothes, with loose long hair, etc.
Attention! The radiator fan can turn on automatically even when the engine is not running; turn the ignition key to position «LOCK» («blocking») and remove the key from the ignition switch to ensure the safety of working in the engine compartment.
Attention! Do not smoke, spark or open flame near fuel or battery. Fuel and electrolyte vapors may ignite.
Attention! Take special care when working near the battery. It uses sulfuric acid, which is poisonous and aggressive towards the paintwork, as an electrolyte.
Attention! It is not allowed to perform work under a vehicle raised only with a jack. Always additionally use special tripod supports.
Warning! Incorrect handling of parts and materials used in vehicles can result in personal injury.
Attention! Please contact an authorized Mitsubishi dealer for the necessary information.
Service interval
To keep the car in a technically sound condition, it is necessary to periodically carry out its maintenance - constantly and at certain intervals, which are listed below. These are the minimum service intervals recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
If the vehicle is used in severe conditions, in particular in dusty conditions, with a trailer towed at low speeds or for short distances, maintenance is recommended more frequently.
Weekly or every 400 km
Check the following items:
- engine oil level;
- coolant level;
- brake fluid level;
- the presence of water in the windshield washer reservoir;
- performance of the glow plug indicator lamp (diesel engines);
- the condition of the battery, tires, windshield wipers and all lamps.
If maintenance has not been carried out regularly, poor engine performance may result (incomplete power output, engine malfunctions, etc.). In this case, you should do the following:
- check all fluids associated with the engine;
- check the condition and tension of the accessory drive belt;
- replace spark plugs;
- check the condition of the air filter and replace if necessary;
- replace fuel filters;
- check the condition of all hoses (branch pipes) and their tightness.
If these steps are not effective, follow these steps.
Primary Actions
To do this, do the following:

Secondary Actions
To do so, you need to check the following:
- charging system;
- ignition system;
- power system.
