1. Checking the ATF level in the automatic transmission should be done after driving, when the fluid has warmed up.
2. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface and apply the parking brake.
3. With the engine idling and the brake pedal fully depressed, move the automatic transmission selector lever through all positions from "P" ("Park") to "L" ("Low gear") (for vehicles with INVECS-II 4AYA automatic transmission), from "P" ("Park") to "D" ("Drive, main gear") (for vehicles with INVECS-II Sport Mode 4AYA automatic transmission with manual gear shifting mode) with short stops in each position.
4. Move the automatic transmission selector lever to the "N" (neutral) position.

5. Remove the fluid level indicator, wipe it with a clean cloth and reinsert it completely into the hole. Remove the indicator and check the working fluid level in the automatic transmission (Fig. 2.7).
6. The fluid level should always be between the marks on the indicator.
7. For topping up, use DIA QUEEN ATF SP III automatic transmission fluid.
Caution: When checking the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) level or adding fluid, be careful not to spill fluid on the hot exhaust manifold.
