The parts are removed in the order shown in the figure.

Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Checking the steering column combination switch





Checking the wiper and washer switches. Check the condition of the circuit between the terminals of the steering column combination switch connectors at different switch positions according to the table below.

Note: The steering column combination switch for exterior lighting can only be tested using a tester.


Checking the intermittent "INT" mode of the windshield wiper. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals "3" and "6" of the steering column combination switch connector. Turn the control knob from the "SLOW" position to the "FAST" position and check that the resistance changes in the range of 0–1 Ohm.
