Checking the opening pressure of the radiator cap valve (Mitsubishi Outlander 1)

Note: Clean the radiator cap before testing. Contamination on the cap seals will cause incorrect readings.

Using the adapter, connect the pneumatic tester to the plug.

Increase the pressure until the pressure gauge reading stabilizes.

• Minimum permissible value: 83 kPa.
• Nominal value: 93–123 kPa.

Replace the radiator cap if the pressure reading obtained does not correspond to the data given.
