



Removal sequence

Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
Disconnect the lower radiator hose.
Remove the oxygen sensor connector and connector bracket
Disconnect the wire harness clamps.
Remove the coolant supply pipe.
Remove the thermostat.
Place mating marks on the lower radiator hose and clamp.
Remove the lower radiator hose.
Caution! Make sure there are no traces of oil on the thermostat rubber seal. Do not crush or scratch the thermostat rubber seal during installation.

Install the thermostat so that the bypass valve is vertical.
Do not crush or scratch the thermostat rubber seal during installation.
Connecting the lower radiator hose

Place the lower radiator hose until it rests against the ledge on the inlet pipe.
Align the mating marks on the lower radiator hose and clamp.
Tighten the clamp.
Checking thermostat components

Place the thermostat in water.
Heat the container, stirring the water constantly.
Record the opening temperature of the main thermostat valve.
Nominal value: 82 ±1.5°C.

At the fully open temperature of the valve, make sure that its stroke is within the set range.
Note: To measure full valve travel, measure the height of the valve when it is in the fully closed position.
Then measure its height when fully open and subtract the height when the valve is fully closed.
- Nominal value: 95°C.
- Valve stroke: 8.5mm or more.
