Disconnect the electric fan electronic unit connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
Measure the voltage between terminals "1" and "3" of the disconnected connector.
Nominal value: on-board network voltage
Connect the electric fan electronic unit connector and disconnect the electric fan connector (left).

Turn off the air conditioner and start the engine.
Measure the voltage between terminals "1" and "2" of the disconnected connector (on the electric fan electronic unit).
Nominal value: 1V or less.
Note: Do not touch the electric fan, which may start to operate.
Turn on the air conditioner.
Measure the voltage between terminals "1" and "2" of the disconnected connector (on the electric fan electronic unit) while the electric fan (right) is running. The voltage should change in accordance with the values below.
- Nominal value: 1.1V or less; 8.2 ±0.7 V.
- On-board network voltage ±2.6 V.
If the voltage at the connector does not change in accordance with these values, the electric fan electronic unit should be replaced.
