Checking the level and density of battery electrolyte (Mitsubishi L200 4)

Make sure the electrolyte level is between the maximum marks (UPPER LEVEL) and minimal (LOWER LEVEL) level. Add distilled water if necessary.

Use a hydrometer and thermometer to monitor the density and temperature of the electrolyte.

The nominal value of density is 1.220-1.290 (at 20°C).

Note: The density of the electrolyte depends on the temperature. Therefore, to convert the measured density value to a temperature different from 20°C, it is necessary to use the following formula:

D20 = (t - 20) x 0.0007 + Dt D20, where

D20 - density reduced to 20°C;
Dt - actually measured density;
t - actually measured temperature.
