Markings on the oil dipstick (2.4L engine)

Markings on the oil dipstick (3.0L engine)

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface.

2. 3 minutes after the engine has stopped (or before starting a cold engine) check the oil level with the dipstick.

3. To do this, remove the control probe from the pipe, wipe it, insert the clean probe back into the pipe and remove it again.
Check the level by the oil film.
The oil level should be between the max and min marks on the dipstick.
4. If necessary, bring the level up to the upper mark by adding small portions (approximately 0.3 l).
5. To add oil, unscrew the filler cap at the top of the engine.
Pouring oil above the upper mark is not allowed.
