In many areas, due to environmental protection requirements, washing cars in open areas is prohibited. However, many petrol stations provide the opportunity to wash your car there by hand. Since these petrol stations guarantee that dirty water does not go into the ground, the car wash should be carried out there.
  • A dirty car should be washed at the first opportunity.
  • Before washing, soak and wash off dead insects.
  • Wash with plenty of water.
  • Use a soft sponge or a very soft brush attached to a water hose.
  • Do not pour a strong stream of water on painted surfaces, but pour water and soften the dirt.
  • Rinse off the softened dirt with plenty of water from top to bottom.
  • Rinse the sponge frequently.
  • Wipe dry with clean skin.
  • If you do use it, use only good detergents. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any detergent residue.
  • To protect the paintwork, you can add a cleaning preservative to the water.
  • If you wash regularly with detergents, use the preservative more often.
  • Do not wash or dry your car in the sun. Water stains are difficult to remove.
  • All internal grooves, walls and seams of doors and covers suffer greatly from salt. These places - also after automatic washing - should be thoroughly washed with a sponge and wiped with leather.

Note: After washing, the brakes will be less effective due to moisture. Dry the brakes by braking briefly.

Washing alone may not always remove all traces of insects, resins and oils. Such contaminants should be removed as soon as possible, as they may cause irreparable damage to the coating. After removal, the paint in these areas should be preserved.
