

Removal sequence
Disconnect the power steering pressure sensor connector.
Disconnect the air conditioning compressor connector.
Remove the air conditioning compressor connector retainer.
Remove the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering pump bracket.
Remove the center cover.
Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
Remove the sensor connector mounting bracket.
Removal the power steering pump
Remove the power steering pump with the hoses connected from the mounting bracket.
Attention! Move the pump so that it does not interfere with further work. In this position, secure it with a strong rope or wire.
Caution! Do not allow the removed knock sensor to be hit or dropped. This may damage the knock sensor and may require replacement.

Disconnect the knock sensor connector 1.
Remove knock sensor 2.
To remove the knock sensor, use a special key (MD998773).

Installing a knock sensor

To install the knock sensor, use a special key (MD998773). Tighten the sensor to the required tightening torque.
