Removal

1. Loosen the bolts and remove the vacuum reservoir and vacuum reservoir bracket assembly 3 (vehicles with TCL traction control system) (Fig. 9.39).
2. Loosen the bolts and remove the heat shield (engine 4G93 – manual transmission) 4.
3. Remove the intake manifold support 2.
4. Unscrew the knock sensor 1.
Caution: Do not subject the knock sensor to any impact.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
