Removing
Mark the relative position of the driveshaft flange and differential pinion flange.
Remove the cardan shaft.
Attention! Remove the cardan shaft in a straight and horizontal plane so as not to damage the protective boot on the edge of the metal part of the boot.
Note. Damage to the protective cover can be prevented and the removal operation can be facilitated by inserting a piece of cloth or the like into the constriction of the protective cover.
Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
When installing the parts, pay attention to the operation of installing the cardan shaft assembly.
Attention! Be careful not to damage the lip of the transfer box oil seal when installing the driveshaft.
Before tightening nuts and bolts, carefully clean the threads of the fasteners from oil or grease to prevent the cardan shaft from loosening during operation.
Install the cardan shaft in a straight and horizontal plane so as not to damage the protective cover on the edge of the metal part of the cover.
If a used cardan shaft is installed (filmed earlier), then align the marks for the relative position of the propeller shaft flange and the differential drive gear flange.
If a new driveshaft assembly is being installed, align the mark on the driveshaft tube with the mark on the side of the differential drive gear flange.
