Removal

Mark the relative positions of the driveshaft flange and the differential pinion flange.
Remove the driveshaft.
Caution! Remove the cardan shaft in a straight direction and horizontal plane so as not to damage the protective cover on the edge of the metal part of the cover.
Note: Damage to the protective cover can be prevented and removal operation made easier by inserting a piece of cloth or similar material into the narrow part of the protective cover.
Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
When installing the parts, pay attention to the operation of installing the propeller shaft assembly.
Caution! Be careful not to damage the working edge of the transfer case oil seal when installing the propeller shaft.
Before tightening nuts and bolts, thoroughly clean the threads of fasteners from oil or grease to prevent the driveshaft from loosening during operation.
Install the cardan shaft in a straight direction and horizontal plane so as not to damage the protective cover on the edge of the metal part of the cover.

If a previously used propeller shaft (removed earlier) is being installed, align the relative position marks of the propeller shaft flange and the differential pinion flange.
If a new driveshaft assembly is being installed, align the mark on the driveshaft tube with the mark on the side of the differential pinion flange.
