Front and rear propeller shafts
1. Rear shaft; 2. Front shaft; 3. Lubricate with GL-4 or SAE 80W oil
Removal and installation
1. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands.
2. Drain the oil from the transfer case.
3. Apply marks of mutual orientation of the flange of the cardan shaft on the side of the front gearbox and on the flange of the drive gear of the main transmission of the front gearbox.
4. Loosen the mounting bolts, disconnect the shaft and remove it from the transfer case.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
6. Align the marks on the shaft and gearbox flanges.
7. Tighten the flange mounting bolts to a torque of 49–58 N·m, tighten the plugs to a torque of 29–34 N·m.
