Removal the hydraulic pump assembly



Raise the engine with a jack, then remove the mounting bolt (from the bottom) of the hydraulic pump from the pulley side.

Examination



Check the condition of the drive belt for cracks.

Check the pulley condition for uneven wear.

Installing the O-ring






Installing the seal





It is recommended to use a special tool to install the seal.


  • MB990938: rod (sediment).
  • MB991203: device for installing seals and bearings.

Installing the stator ring of a hydraulic pump



Caution: Make sure the hydraulic pump stator ring is installed correctly as shown in the figure.




Install the stator ring as shown in the figure.

Examination



Check the flow control valve for blockage.

Check the condition of the pulley and its shaft for wear or damage.

Check the condition of the rotor and blade grooves for "stepped" wear.

Check the condition of the stator ring and blades for "stepped" wear.

Check the condition of the blades for damage.

Installing the return hose



Install the return hose so that its marks are positioned as shown in the figure.

Installing the suction hose



Install the return hose (hydraulic pump side) with its marks facing forward.
