Front steering drive
1. Jack up the car and put it on stands.
2. Rotate the steering pump pulley several times by hand.
3. Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock five to six times.
4. Disconnect the BB wire of the ignition system and, turning the starter in short jerks, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock five to six times within 15 ÷ 20 seconds - during pumping, make sure that the hydraulic fluid in the steering pump reservoir does not fall below the level of the location filter. If you carry out pumping with the engine running, then the air present in the path will be adsorbed into the liquid, - perform pumping only by turning the engine that has not been started.
5. Restore the original BB wire connection, start the engine and let it idle for some time.
6. Turn the steering wheel to make sure there are no air bubbles in the pump reservoir.
7. Check the level and condition of the hydraulic fluid - it should not have a milky consistency.
8. Make sure that the rotation of the steering wheel does not noticeably affect the liquid level in the tank - if the change is more than 5 mm, repeat the pumping procedure.
Rear steering
1. Bleed the front steering (see above).
2. Start the engine and leave it running at idle.
3. Loosen the bleed valve on the left side of the control valve assembly. Connect a special tool for bleeding the hydraulic path to the valve (MV991230).
4. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, then immediately return it to a straight position. Make sure that the exit of the air bubbles from the path is correct.
5. Repeating the steps described in the previous paragraph, achieve complete removal of air from the hydraulic circuit, then turn off the engine.
6. Loosen the bleed valve of the rear steering booster cylinder by 1/8 turn and connect a bleed tool to it - the nozzle is equipped with a special stop that limits the degree of opening of the valve.
7. Start the engine and drive the vehicle for a short trip at a speed of about 80 km / h, thereby ensuring the circulation of hydraulic fluid in the rear steering path.
8. Moving at a speed of about 32 km / h, actively turn the steering wheel - the remaining air should be removed from the path into the receiving container of the bleeding kit.
9. Continue the procedure until all air is removed from the system.
