Consumables:
  • ATF Dexron or Dexron-II.
  • Place the vehicle on a level surface, start the engine and let it idle.
  • Turn the steering wheel repeatedly in different directions until the operating temperature of the fluid in the steering system is reached (about 50° + 60°C)
  • Turn the steering wheel left and right repeatedly until it stops. Caution: Do not leave the steering wheel in the extreme position for longer than 10 seconds.
  • Make sure that there is no foam or cloudiness in the expansion tank.

  • Check the oil level in the tank with the engine running, add oil to the tank if necessary, left side of the picture.
  • it is essential to add new oil, as even the smallest particles of dirt can cause the hydraulic system to fail.
  • stop the engine and measure the level in the tank. If the difference is greater than that shown in the figure, remove air from the system, see item 16.8.
  • After adding oil, check the tightness of the system.

  • Open the screw cap of the expansion tank with the engine running.
