Rapid tire wear occurs with a sharp driving style, with sudden acceleration and braking.
Attention: Legislation requires tires to be used up to a tread profile depth of 1.6 mm, that is, the profile grooves over the entire working surface must be deeper than 1.6 mm. However, it is recommended from a safety point of view to replace tires with a profile depth of 2 mm.
When approaching the depth of the profile to the wear limit allowed by law, that is, when the dial indicator shows a value of 1.6 mm in many places along the circumference of the tire, the tire should be replaced soon.
Attention: M + S tires have sufficient grip on mud and snow if their profile depth is at least 4 mm.
Attention: Examine the tires in places of cuts and determine the depth of the cut with a small screwdriver. If the cut extends to the tire carcass, the steel cord will rust from penetrating moisture. At some point, the working surface will peel off from the carcass and the tire will burst. Therefore, for safety reasons, replace the tire when deep cuts are found in the profile.
