Warning: The noises that occur when unwinding the seat belts are structurally determined. If the noise increases, the belt can only be replaced. Do not use lubricants to reduce noise under any circumstances. It is prohibited to disassemble the winding machine, since a strongly compressed spring may jump out during disassembly. Risk of accident!
- Pull the seat belt out completely and check for loose threads on the belt webbing. Damage occurs, for example, when the belt jams or from a burning cigarette. In this case, replace the seat belt.
- If there are abrasions without breaking the threads, the belt does not need to be replaced.
- If the belt moves heavily, make sure that it is not twisted by removing the cover on the middle pillar.
- If the automatic winding device fails, replace the belt.
- Wash the belt tape only with soap and water; under no circumstances should you use solvents or washing powders.
