Attention: Noises that occur when the seat belts unwind are structurally determined. If the noise increases, you can only replace the belt. Never use lubricants to reduce noise. It is forbidden to disassemble the winding machine, since a strongly compressed spring can jump out during disassembly. Danger of accident!
- Pull the seat belt fully out and check that there are no loose threads on the belt webbing. Damage occurs, for example, when a belt is jammed or from a burning cigarette. In this case, replace the seat belt.
- If there are abrasions without breaking the threads, the belt does not need to be replaced.
- In case of heavy belt travel, make sure that there is no twisting by removing the trim on the middle rack.
- If the automatic winder fails, replace the belt.
- Wash the belt webbing only with soap and water, never use solvents or washing powders.
