The power steering pump is a rotary vane pump with two chambers. The rotor with vanes that extend under the action of centrifugal force rotates inside a shell with a special internal profiling, forming two chambers limited by the shell, thrust plate, pump cover and rotor surface. The extendable vanes divide the oil volume into separate cavities, which, when rotating, move to an area of smaller volume, due to which the oil pressure increases.

Disassembly is carried out in the order shown in Fig. M2 6.013.

Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.



Elements of the design of the power steering oil pump: 1. Connection of oil pressure switch sensor; 2. Oil pump drive belt; 3. Hose from the feed tank; 4. Bolt; 5.
