Opening
To open the hood, pull the hood latch handle towards you.
Raise the hood while pressing the safety lever.
Note. Open the hood only when the wipers are in the retracted position. Failure to do so may result in damage to the vehicle's paintwork.
Support the hood with a support rod, inserting the latter into the recess intended for it.
Attention! Keep in mind that if there is a strong gust of wind, the open hood can lift up and come off the support rod.
Attention! When opening the hood, make sure that the support rod is accurately inserted into the recess provided for it. An incorrectly fastened support rod may slip off and the hood closes unexpectedly. This may lead to an accident.
Closing the hood
Remove the support rod and secure it in the retainer. Slowly lower the hood to a position 30 cm above the closed position and release the hood so that it falls under its own weight.
Note. If this does not close the hood, raise it a little more and then release it.
Do not press hard on the hood with your hand, as a dent may form on it.
Attention! When closing the hood, be careful not to pinch your hands or fingers.
Make sure the hood is securely closed before driving the vehicle. If the hood is not completely closed, it may open unexpectedly while the vehicle is moving, causing an accident.
