Opening

To open the hood, pull the hood release handle towards you.

While pressing the safety lever, lift the hood.

Note: Only open the hood when the windshield wipers are in the retracted position. Failure to do so may result in damage to the vehicle's paintwork.

Support the hood with a support rod, inserting the latter into the recess provided for it.

Attention! It should be borne in mind that in case of a strong gust of wind the open hood may rise and jump off the support rod.

Caution! When opening the hood, make sure that the support rod is inserted precisely into the recess provided for it. An incorrectly secured support rod may slip and the hood may close unexpectedly. This may result in an accident.

Closing the hood

Remove the support rod and secure it in the retainer. Slowly lower the hood to a position 30 cm above the closed position and release the hood so that it falls under its own weight.

Note: If the hood does not close, lift it a little higher and then release it.

Do not press hard on the hood with your hand, as this may cause a dent.

Caution: When closing the hood, be careful not to pinch your hands or fingers.

Before you start driving, make sure the hood is securely closed. A hood that is not completely closed may open unexpectedly while the vehicle is moving, creating an emergency situation.
