Changing oil in a manual transmission (Mitsubishi Outlander 1)

Unscrew the oil filler and drain plugs.

Drain the oil.



Before installing the drain plug, remove any metal particles from the magnet installed on it. Tighten the mounting nuts to the recommended tightening torque.

Tightening torque: 32±2 Nm.

Using a lubricator, fill the gearbox with fresh oil.

Add the recommended oil until the level reaches the bottom of the oil filler hole.

Recommended transmission oil: transmission oil - API classification GL (4 or higher, viscosity according to SAE 75W. 85W or 75W. 90

Volume:
  • 2.2L "2WD";
  • 2.3L "4WD (N/A)";
  • 2.8L "4WD (T/C)";

Tighten the oil filler plug to the recommended torque.

Tightening torque: 32±2 Nm.
