Upper control arm assembly components: 1. Front wheel speed sensor mounting bracket (for vehicles equipped with ABS); 2. Brake hose; 3. Upper arm ball joint and steering knuckle joint; 4. Connecting the upper arm to the front frame; 5. Upper control arm assembly; 6. Upper arm compression buffer; 7. Upper arm ball joint assembly


Disassembly is carried out in the order shown in Fig. M2 5.069.

Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.

Disconnecting the upper arm from the pivot arm



When performing work, do not remove the nut completely from the ball joint. To avoid damage to the parts, use a suitable puller (for example, as shown in Fig. M2 5.070).

Install the puller and, by turning the bolt, disconnect the upper arm from the steering knuckle.
