If the pedal free play is increased, you should check the connecting pin, the holes in the master cylinder rod eyes, and the hole in the pedal lever for wear.
You should also check the adjustment of the upper position of the pedal and the adjustment of the position of the brake light switch sensor.
Checking the extreme lower position of the brake pedal
The position of the brake pedal when pressed is checked with the engine running and the pedal pressure applied at approximately 490 N.
The distance from the top of the rubber pedal pad to the front wall of the passenger compartment (A+B) must be at least 75 mm.
