Heavily loaded front wheel bearings require a certain amount of axial preload. The preload value can be determined from the torque resistance. This requires a torque wrench (Fig. M2 5.008).

The torque resistance should not exceed 2.5 Nm, and the rotation of the hub should be smooth, without jamming.

Tighten the nut while holding the bolt (see Fig. M2 5.009).
